Victor Nissim is a French bass player, singer and producer, influenced by adventurers such as Marina Herlop, Tim Lefebvre & MonoNeon. In a constant introspective journey for a different approach to the bass guitar, Victor’s sound is unconventional, aggressive, always striving in a hunt for something that hasn’t been done before.
With Michael Haudenschild (keys) and Giorgio Murer (drums), the modern jazz trio takes you on a trip from up-tempo UK jazz to teeth grinding funk, with an occasional ballad making labelling a tricky task. A project driven by love of furious improvisation and melancholic tunes.

Akari blends the boundaries between Soul, Neo- jazz, and 70’s pop to create a powerful, moving sound with deep-rooted groove, captivating harmony and catchy melodies that you’ll be singing to yourself for days. Founded and based in Berlin the five-piece has since its inception cultivated a rich and unmistakable sonic signature, taking inspiration from Bill Withers and Marvin Gaye to contemporary artists such as Michael Kiwanuka, Hiatus Kaiyote or Butcher Brown.
The group thrives on the diverse range of influences each member brings to the table, incorporating contemporary yet soulful grooves, as well as their signature fusion of sophisticated and smooth compositions. At the forefront of their sound being the awe-inspiring vocal prowess of lead singer Natalia Joy, resulting in emotive recordings and compelling live performances that showcase the band’s youthful energy and desire to explore the world of music with their listeners.

In light of their Debut release starting March 2024, the band has put together a stunning, diverse live set that can be heard across the Berlin music scene and beyond in famous venues such as Berghain, LIDO or Privatclub.
