Upon meeting in Germany’s capital in autumn 2020\, the two quickly discovered a shared aspiration for gritty songwriting reminiscent of the Velvet Underground and Patti Smith\, paired with the vulnerable outsider melodies of Daniel Johnston. \nPlastic Idols draw influence from a range of past soundscapes\, blending nostalgic melodies with dreamy elements of indie pop and the psychedelic spirit of ’60s folk. Their 3-song debut EP\, ‚The Prodigy and the Poet‘\, tells stories of dreams\, friends\, and desires of the subconscious\, while the duo’s lyrical depth and rawsou nd evoke a timeless yet avant-garde energy.Whether channeling ethereal guitars\, introspective lyrics\, or moments of stripped-down\, acoustic vulnerability\, Plastic Idols craft music that speaks to the heart of emotional and artistic exploration. The duo invites listeners to lose themselves in a soundscape that is both melancholic and hopeful\, appealing to those drawn to the unconventional and the deeply personal. \nDeer Anna is a Hamburg-based indie folk artist who creates soundscapes to dream away to. Her music is characterised by a deep sensitivity and a haunting atmosphere that inspires reflection and creates spaces full of warmth and understanding. Her creative work goes far beyond her music. The artist is responsible for both her artwork and the production of much of her merchandise. In order to produce her own music videos Deer Anna even taught herself animation. The results so far are three surreal mixed media videos (‘What She Does At Night’\, ‘Dory’\, and ‘Same Way Home’)\, which translate her music’s dreamy mood into visuals and give us a further insight into the artist’s inner turmoil. With her artistic oeuvre as a whole\, Deer Anna manages to establish a profound connection with her audience that is characterised by emotionality and honesty. With this charisma she also impresses her live audiences. Deer Anna has already opened stages for internationally renowned artists such as TORRES\, Oskar Haag\, The Bones of J.R. Jones\, Alice Boman and Axel Flóvent. With appearances at Reeperbahn Festival\, MS Dockville\, Lunatic\, Millerntor Gallery and Wutzrock\, she has built herself a loyal fanbase\, especially in her home city. Last October Deer Anna ventured into international waters by embarking on her first Canadian tour together with  Marissa Burwell. On 25th October 2024 the artist released her second EP Sit & Rest on which she explores the need for peace and quiet and the search for ways of finding your own path in an increasingly chaotic world.
