J. Wynter is a four-piece alchemical-folk alt-rock band from Naarm (Melbourne, Australia) returning to Europe this summer to reconnect with kindred spirits and share new sonics across the hemispheres.

J. Wynter is the shared expression of Joscelyn Wynter, Henry Brown, Campbell Mowat and Sam Hunt. Their music is carried by the wind and guided by friendship, dreams and collective catharsis. Traversing terrain from heavy electric hypnosis, dark ambient soundscapes to solemn ballads, this project is a fusion of confessional songwriting and explorative arrangement. Their debut EP Playing with Swords was recorded live at The Night Cat and released in 2024.

2025 began in Coterminous Studios, where J. Wynter started recording their debut album, to be released later this year. The band looks forward to reuniting with the creative community in Berlin and beyond, continuing on previous journeys of shared resonance and inspiring artistic exchange. After a number of residencies and performances across a range venues in Germany, Australia and the Americas in the last ten years (incl in Berlin; Petersburg Art Space, Marie Antoinette, Kindl Stuben, Ofen Bar, Lagari, Das Wohnzimmerkonzert Festival, Space Meduza, Zuhause Kiosk, Rene Festival (Braunschweig), Pete’s Candy Store (NY), Sunset Sounds (Chile) and Melbourne; Howler, Bar 303, Old Bar, Longplay, The Leadbeater Hotel, Ragtime Tavern) the four-piece are excited to return to familiar ground and new horizons alike, deepening their connection with diverse audiences and fellow musicians that have long nurtured their artistic evolution.
