Tahlia Crnjac is a Berlin-based vocalist and songwriter whose music lives at the intersection of soul, jazz, RnB, and pop. Similar to Tia Gordon, Olivia Dean and Cleo Sol, Tahlia’s sound is filled with melismatic vocals, intricate harmonies inspired by Balkan rhythms, neo- soul, and jazz.
Born in Australia to Croatian and Finnish parents, raised in Taiwan and now based in Germany, Tahlia Crnjac weaves her roots into her artistry. With her experience ranging from singing with the VOX ensemble of Sydney Philharmonia Choirs at the Sydney Opera House to honing in on her solo project in the dark and sultry bars of Berlin, Tahlia’s musical prowess leaves listeners feeling seen, stirred and connected.
Nadya honed her craft as a classical vocalist before finding her unique voice in jazz and genre-blending contemporary styles. Her versatile vocal range has been showcased on projects such as Rebecca Vasmant’s Blessed and Broken Biscuits and Amanda Whiting’s After Dark, earning recognition from Gilles Peterson, Jamie Cullum, Jamz Supernova, BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, and BBC Radio Scotland.
With her forthcoming debut album, Half Silk Half Blade, Nadya steps fully into her own, creating music for fans of Olivia Dean and Cleo Sol. Her performances are noted for their emotional depth, technical precision, and distinctive warmth.
