White cliffs at Baltic sea- a day trip to Rügen

**Rügen** is a German Baltic Sea island. The island’s beaches and white chalk cliffs are well-known, including the Königsstuhl on the Jasmund peninsula. UNESCO ennobled the rustic old beech forests in the heart of the national park as a world heritage site (more pictures below)

We will hike about 15 km in the **National Park Jasmund** along the Baltic Sea to the **Skywalk Königsstuhl** (a new and innovative viewing platform) **-** it offers breathtaking views of the Baltic Sea and the chalk cliffs. Walking on this glass platform is an exhilarating experience, providing panoramic views of the dramatic coastline.

**Schedule***
06.33 we take train to Sassnitz, Rügen (I will provide the exact meeting point in our WhatsApp group)
10.54 we arrive to Sassnitz and begin the hike
14.30 visiting the Skywalk (optional), relax and lunch time
16.30/17.00 bus back to Sassnitz
17.59/19.02 we take the train back
22.30/23.50 we arrive to Berlin
*the schedule may differ from that described above depending on the group speed, public transport and other factors.

**Costs**
**Train tickets** – you can use your Deutschland ticket
**Organizing expense – 15€** ( need to be transferred in advance to PayPal habibuscha@gmail.com, if you want to make a bank transfer, please write to the host). After you transfer the organizing fee, I will send you a link to our WhatsApp group.
**Entrance to the Skywalk – 12€**

**What to bring**
Enough water and food for the whole day, appropriate shoes (ideally – hiking shoes) and clothes.
